In southwest England a 10,000-year-old skeleton was found in the underground caves at Cheddar Gorge. In 2018 scientists from Britain's Natural History Museum and University College London said DNA from the skeleton, named "Cheddar Man," suggests the oldest-known Briton had dark skin and blue eyes.
