Duke University women's volleyball match was moved to an alternate location in Provo, Utah, after racial slurs were hurled at a Black player from the crowd during the previous evening’s match with BYU. The incident prompted BYU to apologize and ban a fan identified as the perpetrator. On Sept. 9 Brigham Young University said an investigation it carried out could not corroborate allegations that its volleyball fans yelled the racial slurs. Links: USA, Utah, North Carolina, Racism |
