The Helmi stream star group remained after its mini-galaxy was devoured by the Milky Way during this period. In 2010 a hot, gaseous and fast-spinning planet was found orbiting a dying star of the Helmi stream on the edge of the Milky Way, in the first such discovery of a planet from outside our galaxy. It was currently 9 billion miles away from the sun, or about three times Pluto's current distance from the Sun and orbited the Sun once every 560 years. It was temporarily named 2003 UB313 (Xena).
