In Cockeysville, Md., Nicholas Waggoner Browning (15) shot and killed his father John Browning (45) and mother Tamara (44) and his brothers Gregory (13) and Benjamin (11). On Oct 27 Browning pleaded guilty to first-degree murder charges and faced at least 2 decades in prison. In Pleasanton, Ca., Ernest Scherer (60), a real estate investor, and his wife Charlene Abendroth (57), an accounting lecturer, were found bludgeoned to death inside their home. In 2009 their son, Ernest Scherer III (30), was arrested in Las Vegas and charged with the murders. On may 20, 2011, Ernest Scherer III was sentenced to life in prison. In San Jose, Ca., Shamina Rabbi (57) and her husband Golam Rabbi (59) were shot to death at their home at 3006 Lucas Court. Police soon arrested their sons, ages 22 and 17, as suspects. In the Netherlands the bodies of a couple, reportedly 63 and 62, were discovered in Katlijk, a rural village with some 600 inhabitants that lies 140 km (87 miles) northeast of Amsterdam. James Eric Davis Jr. (19), shot and killed his parents, James and Diva Davis, this morning in a dormitory at Central Michigan Univ. in Mount Pleasant. The suspect, who was taken to a hospital the previous evening for a drug-related health problem, fled the campus. Davis was arrested shortly after midnight. It was reported that Russian prosecutors have brought charges of premeditated murder against three Moscow teenage sisters for killing their abusive father. Krestina, Angelina and Maria stabbed their 57-year old father Mikhail Khachaturyan in July 2018 after enduring years of intimidation, beatings and sexual abuse.
