| Brunei's complete name is Negara Brunei Darusallam (Brunei, abode of peace). It is located on the island of Borneo, the 3rd largest in the world. The island was divided among the sultanate of Brunei, Indonesia, and the Malaysian states of Sarawak and Sabah. Brunei at 5,270 sq. km. is about the size of Delaware and the population in 2005 was about 370,000. The largest city and capital is Bandar Seri Begawan.
